At the designated time, we'll welcome you on board the luxury train to Cusco and leave Aguas Calientes behind. It's the best way to say goodbye to Machu Picchu!
Before boarding the train, you'll be served afternoon tea at Sanctuary Lodge. After relaxing with this drink, you'll have access to the VIP waiting room at the Aguas Calientes station.
Once you're in your seats, we'll greet you with a welcome cocktail on board before setting off on this unforgettable journey on the Hiram Bingham surrounded by the majestic landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. In fact, the train is named after the explorer who rediscovered the citadel of Machu Picchu!

You'll first take a trip on the Hiram Bingham train from Machu Picchu station (Aguas Calientes) to the Rio Sagrado station, A Belmond Hotel. From there, if you're staying in the city centre of Cusco, we'll transfer you by private minibus to your hotel in Cusco, as long as it's not in the city center. If you're not staying in the historic center, we'll transfer you to the Plazoleta de las Nazarenas in Cusco.

This activity takes place on board one of the most popular trains in Peru, with limited capacity. Thus, the availability of tickets to access the trains is limited. It may happen that there is no availability on the day you choose in your reservation. Therefore, we recommend that you book as far in advance as possible.
