On our Provence vineyards & lavender fields sidecar tour, you'll glide through the beautiful southeastern French countryside and take in the gentle fragrance of the aromatic flowering lavender.
Provence Vineyards & Lavender Fields Sidecar Tour
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Aix-en-Provence and, from there, we'll set off on a vintage motorbike with a sidecar to different parts of southeastern France.
Firstly, we'll ride through Provence's lavender fields. From the sidecar, you'll see how these vast, purple fields stretch out as far as the eye can see. We'll make several stops so you can take pictures of your surroundings as you wish. You'll also be able to smell the soft fragrance of the lavender, which has aromatic properties that are used in perfumes and cosmetic products.
We'll continue our tour to a vineyard in Provence. In this extraordinary spot among the vineyards, we'll taste three French wines. We'll consider the differences between these wines through the varied notes of aroma, colour and texture that they leave on the palate.
After the wine tasting, we'll head to the Roy René factory and museum, which is a leading Provençal company that makes traditional sweets called calissons. The staff will show us how to prepare these delicacies, which we'll of course also taste. Delicious!
Finally, depending on the type of tour you chose, we'll head back to your hotel in Aix-en-Provence either 2 or 4 hours after we picked you up. If you opt for the longer tour, we'll spend more time touring Provence's beautiful lavender fields.
What are the Motorbikes Like?
The guide will drive the motorbike at all times. Each one has a maximum capacity for 2 passengers: one on the bike behind the guide, and the other in the sidecar. Please note that the prices indicated are per bike and not per person.
