Discover two of the most beautiful places in southern Peru: Arequipa and the Colca Canyon with this fantastic 4-day trip. You'll encounter a spectacular city and some of the country's most stunning nature!
We'll pick you up at the airport or bus terminal in Arequipa at 11 am and take you to the hotel. Later, at 1 pm, we'll start a guided tour of the Peruvian city to see its main tourist attractions.
First, we'll head to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a walled citadel that will amaze you. It was originally built as a convent for nuns, and the pretty narrow alleys will lead you between striking red and blue painted wall to its cloisters and gardens.
We then continue our tour of the city, visiting elegant Plaza de Armas square, the charming Jesuit Church of the Company, and the historic Tristán del Pozo house. Finally, we'll visit the spectacular viewpoints of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara.
We return to the hotel at 6 pm and you'll have the rest of the day free.
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll set out for the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve at 8 am. Along the way, we'll see vicuñas in their natural habitat, as well as alpacas, llamas, flamingos, and Andean geese.
Continuing through this wonderful environment, we'll stop at the Mirador de Los Volcanes (Volcano Viewpoint), here at more than 15,000 ft high up, we'll enjoy stunning views of the Colca Valley perfect for capturing some photographs!
We'll finish the trip in Chivay, the capital of the Colca Valley, at 2 pm. You'll have the rest of the day free to explore the town in the way you want.
It's an early start on the third day! We get up at 6 am and enjoy a tasty breakfast at the hotel, before heading to the Colca Canyon. On the way, we'll pass through charming villages in the valley such as Yanque and Maca, both full of beautiful colonial churches.
When we arrive at our destination, we'll be welcomed by the Condor Cross viewpoint, the perfect place for you to contemplate Peruvian nature in all its splendor. Then, we continue on the journey, visiting the most important viewpoints for observing condors hovering high up in the sky. This is an unforgettable experience!
We'll end the day returning to Arequipa, where we'll arrive at approximately 5 pm. You'll have the rest of the day free to enjoy the city at your leisure.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel in Arequipa, we'll drop you at the airport or bus station with ample time for you to catch your departure transport.
