Discover the farthest peak from the center of the earth on our day trip to the Chimborazo Volcano. You'll hike the highest volcano in Ecuador and explore a breathtaking place.
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Baños de Agua Santa. From there, we'll set off on the 2-hour drive to the Chimborazo Ecological Reserve.
When we get there, we'll start our tour from the first mountain shelter at the reserve and admire the incredible views of the Chimborazo Volcano. Did you know that it's the farthest summit from the center of the earth, including Mount Everest?
After a 1-hour walk, we'll arrive at the second mountain shelter. We'll rest here and have a snack to get our energy back before returning to our hike. We'll follow the route to the Cóndor Cocha Lagoon, which will be the most elevated point that we'll reach on our day trip.
Once we've taken in the breathtaking views before us, we'll start making our descent to the base of the volcano. From there, we'll take the bus back to your hotel in Baños, where we'll arrive after about 8 total hours of adventure.
