Cerro Catedral, Argentina's Winter Sports Paradise
Located just 30 mins from San Carlos de Bariloche, Cerro Catedral is considered Argentina's most famous ski resort.
It's also the largest winter sports center in the Southern Hemisphere. This Andean resort, located in the heart of Nahuel Huapi National Park, boasts over 1,200 hectares (2,965 acres) of skiable terrain and more than 100 kilometers (62 mi) of skiable runs spread across 58 trails of varying difficulty levels:
- 25 blue slopes for intermediate skiers
- 15 green slopes for beginners
- 12 red slopes for advanced skiers
- 6 black slopes for expert skiers

Private Ski or Snowboard Lesson
Depending on the activity you book, you’ll receive a 2-hour private ski or snowboard lesson at Cerro Catedral. Perfect for beginners looking to get started in winter sports! The lesson will take place at a school in the resort and begins at your selected time.
If you choose skiing, you’ll learn basic techniques such as how to make a snowplow turn (“pizza” position). You’ll also be taught how to properly use ski poles like a true professional.
If you opt for snowboarding, you’ll learn how to correctly handle the board in a unique environment that is truly a paradise for snow lovers.
Both the ski and snowboard lessons will be taught by an expert instructor. This instructor will teach you the basics so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Equipment Rental
If you need equipment for the sport you wish to learn, you can book the equipment rental option, which includes a board or skis, poles with bindings, and boots.
Please note that thermal clothing, helmets, and other accessories are not included.
Ski Pass Not Included
The private lesson does not include the ski pass required for access to the slopes at the resort. You can book your lift pass separately for the Cerro Catedral ski resort.
