On this quad tour along the Caburé Circuit, we’ll enjoy a full day of adventure exploring the dunes, lagoons, and riverside villages of the Pequenos Lençóis Maranhenses. Let’s start the engines!
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Barreirinhas and set off on a 1-hour bus journey to the famous Caburé Circuit. Off we go!
Once we reach a strategic point, we’ll explain the route and assign the quads. Ready to hear the engines roar?
From here, we’ll enter the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park and ride along a 2 km (1.25 mi) stretch of paved road toward the small village of Bosque. The landscape will gradually change before our eyes, revealing white sand dunes that look like waves frozen in time, along with vegetation shaped by the Atlantic winds.
We'll then continue toward the so-called Pequenos Lençóis, a delicate ecosystem where white sand ridges alternate with seasonal lagoons. We’ll stop at Lagoa do Alazão, a lagoon fed by rainwater.
After a break so you can take a refreshing swim, we’ll get back on the quads and head to Caeté, where you can enjoy freshly cut coconut water if you wish. Well deserved! From there, we’ll continue to Vassouras, home to the famous sloths, and then on to Morro do Boi.
Next, we’ll ride toward Caburé Beach, a natural strip of land between the river and the ocean. Feeling hungry? Here, you’ll have free time to enjoy a typical lunch at your own expense and relax in the peaceful atmosphere of this corner of northeastern Brazil.
Shall we continue? Our final stop will be at the Caburé wind farm, where massive turbines rise like giants against a horizon of dunes. It’s the perfect spot to take your last photos of the tour.
From there, we’ll return to the starting point and take you back to your hotel, where the tour will end after approximately 8 hours.
Activity Requirements
To drive the quad, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license. Children aged 13 to 18 may ride as passengers.
