This charming sightseeing train will take you from the heart of the city to the majestic Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca, perched atop the Bolognese hills. It'll be a scenic journey filled with history and unforgettable views!

Activity Details

The San Luca Express departs from the Piazza Galvani. At the time you wish, you can hop on the train, take a seat, and get comfortable. It's time to go!

In approximately 40 minutes, we'll drive on the picturesque track that connects Bologna's old town with the Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca.

During the journey, you'll admire the longest portico in the world, spanning from the Bonaccorsi Arch to the church. Did you know this iconic passageway has over 600 arches?

Once we reach the sanctuary, you can hop off the train to visit this important pilgrimage site at your own pace. You'll admire its impressive architecture, stroll around its surroundings, and enjoy the spectacular views of Bologna from the hills.

You can take the sightseeing train whenever you want to return to the center of Bologna.

Please note that the total duration of this activity tends to be 2.5 hours.
