Discover the charm of Dinant, a picturesque gem in Wallonia, and explore Luxembourg, the captivating capital of one of Europe’s smallest countries, on this unforgettable day trip.

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet in the centre of Brussels and from there we'll travel south by road, crossing the beautiful landscapes of the Wallonia region.

Our first destination will be Dinant, a town on the banks of the Meuse River. In this beautiful town in southern Belgium, we'll take a panoramic tour to see its main points of interest, including the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and the House of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. It's also known for Maison Leffe, where one of Belgium's most famous beers is produced.

At the end of the guided tour, you'll have free time to stroll around and have a drink. A perfect opportunity to enjoy a delicious local beer!

Then, we'll head south and, leaving Belgium behind, we'll drive another hour and a half or so toward Luxembourg, the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Did you know that this is one of the smallest countries in the world? Upon arrival, we'll take a walking tour through the city's historic centre.

We'll start our tour in the old town of Luxembourg at the bustling Place d'Armes. We'll continue our walk toward the Notre-Dame Cathedral, seeing other iconic landmarks on the way. Once there, you'll find out how this cathedral is similar to its Parisian counterpart.

The tour of Luxembourg continues on to other must-see places in the city, such as the breathtaking Neumünster Abbey. This 17th-century jewel stands imposingly on the banks of the Alzette River in the heart of the historic Grund district, a World Heritage Site.

After the guided tour of Luxembourg, you'll have some free time. You can take advantage of this time to grab a bite to eat and stroll around the historic district.

In the afternoon, we'll meet again in the city centre of Luxembourg and head back to Brussels. We'll arrive at the meeting point in the Belgian capital between 11.5 and 12 hours after the morning pickup.
