What Is the Dinner Like?
This dinner cruise with live music departs from Pier 2 at the Akadémia at 7 pm. Dinner is served in a glass-enclosed dining room on the boat, which is air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter.
As you savor your meal, you’ll enjoy the talent and musical atmosphere provided by the renowned Rajkó folk orchestra. Afterward, you can take in the spectacular nighttime views of the Parliament Building and Budapest’s bridges from the ship’s outdoor deck.
Types of Menu
Dinner consists of a 4-course menu. When making your reservation, please select which of the following three menu options you prefer:
Menu A
- Appetizer: eggplant dip, paprika dip, and pink hummus.
- Soup: traditional beef goulash soup
- Main course: "Széchenyi" pork tenderloin served with mashed potatoes with onions and pickles
- Dessert: traditional Somlói sponge cake
Menu B
- Appetizer: eggplant dip, paprika dip, and pink hummus
- Soup: tarragon poultry ragout soup
- Main course: paprikash-style chicken thigh, potato gratin, fresh salad, and pickles
- Dessert: traditional somlói cake
Menu C
- Appetizer: eggplant dip, paprika dip, and pink hummus
- Soup: seasonal vegetable cream soup
- Main course: pasta marinara with tomatoes, olives, and grated Parmesan cheese
- Dessert: traditional somlói cake
Children under 6
Children under 6 must travel on their parent's lap and must not occupy a seat.
