At the designated time, we'll gather at Praça Quilombola and set off on our hiking adventure that leads to the mesmerizing viewpoint of Ponta do Pai Vitório in Búzios.
During the medium-difficulty hike, we'll cover a total distance of 5 kilometers (3 miles) while relishing the striking contrast of Búzios' landscapes. Our route will take us along stunning bays like Mosqueiras and Rasa beaches, and we'll witness the growth of mangroves amidst the rocky terrain. Did you know that these mangrove formations draw scientists from all over the world?
As we approach the hill of Ponta do Pai Vitório, we'll uncover the history behind its name. We'll recount the event that occurred here involving a boat and a priest and explore the grim links of this natural monument with the slave trade in the 19th century.
