Cajamarca Private Tours
When booking, you can choose between two private tours of Cajamarca. Both tours include hotel pickup and drop-off and English–speaking guide.
Tour of Cajamarca (3,5 hours)
We'll start our guided tour of Cajamarca at the Plaza de Armas, where the Cathedral of Santa Catalina and the Church of San Francisco stand. We'll get a chance to admire their facades carved in volcanic rock while we discover some interesting stories about the city.
From here, we'll walk through the main streets of Cajamarca to discover such iconic places as the church of Belén or the Cuarto del Rescate. Do you know who was kept here by Fernando Pizarro kept prisoner? We'll find out!
To complete the route, we'll go to the viewpoint on the hill of Santa Apolonia, where the famous Silla del Inca (Inca's chair) is located. We'll follow a route similar to that of guided tour of Cajamarca.
Cajamarca Valley Tour (5 hours)
In this private tour we'll get to know the valley of Cajamarca. We'll start the tour at Qhapac Ñan, where we'll make a stop at the Inca's walk. From here we'll approach the caves of Callacpuma and the lagoon of Salluscocha and Los Sapitos.
Another attraction of this tour will be Coyor hill, where we'll visit the pre-Inca citadel belonging to the Caxamarca culture. Finally, we'll visit a workshop where handmade hats and guitars are crafted. The itinerary will be similar to the Cajamarca Valley Tour.
