If you're up for a fantastic religious experience, join us on a day trip to Aparecida. See the second-largest basilica in the world and catch a mass while we're there!
Meet us at the entrance of the Hotel Leão da Montanha and, from this point in Campos do Jordão, we'll head to Aparecida, one of the main religious centers in Brazil.
As soon as we arrive in this town in São Paulo, we'll go to the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida. Fun fact: it's the second-largest in the world only surpassed by St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican! We'll marvel at its exterior architecture and appreciate its colossal dimensions.
Next, we'll enter the basilica, where we'll see the carving of the patron saint of Brazil. After discovering why the Virgin of Our Lady of Aparecida is so venerated, we'll visit the central nave of the temple and attend a 45-minute mass, which will add an extra immersive layer to our experience.
At the end of the ceremony, you'll have 3 hours of free time in Aparecida to explore the sanctuary at your leisure, do some shopping, and have a drink. You can also take the opportunity to pray in privacy and feel the spirituality of this sacred place.
Finally, we'll meet at the Basilica entrance to return to the meeting point, where we'll bring our tour to an end.
