Join us to discover one of the lushest landscapes in Brazil on this excursion to the Itaimbezinho Canyon. We'll see the largest canyon in Latin America and learn about the native wildlife.
Itaimbezinho Canyon Day Trip
We'll pick you up at the selected meeting point at the scheduled time and head to the city of Cambará do Sul to explore the largest canyon in Latin America.
Once in the Aparatos da Serra National Park, we'll admire the Itaimbezinho canyon, almost 6 kilometers (4 miles) long and 700 meters (2,300 feet) deep. Did you know that this place has been used as a set for some Brazilian series and movies? No wonder!
In the vicinity of the gorge, we'll tell you about its huge basaltic walls, which were formed more than 130 million years ago with the movement of tectonic plates and eruptions. Thanks to this sedimentation, a rich ecosystem was created that includes species of the Atlantic Forest and Araucaria Forest.
During this 6-kilometer (3.72-mile) journey, we'll walk along two low-difficulty trails, the Vértice and the Cotovelo, which will take us to some lookout points where we'll get breathtaking views. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Hungry? While marveling at the beauty of the canyon, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch.
After a day full of adventures, we'll finish the Itaimbezinho Canyon excursion by dropping you off back at the meeting point.
