Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Astronomical Clock and begin our private tour of Cangas de Morrazo, which will bring us to see both the old and new parts of the municipality of Rías Baixas.
As you'll see during the tour, the architecture of Cangas is intimately connected with the sea. We'll visit the house of Patín and sit at its steps - a common practice for the sailors of old as they would repair their nets. While we're here, we'll also discuss some tales concerning the presence of witches in the town!
We'll continue through Cangas de Morrazo, we'll see plenty of beautiful streets and squares in the old town on our way toward the Ex-collegiate Church of Santiago. We'll also pay a visit to the Outeiro neighbourhood, the highest part of Cangas, where we'll learn all about the influence of the Celts.
During the final stretch of the tour, we'll travel back to the 19th and 20th centuries to see how Cangas became a booming industrial town thanks to the canning industry.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll finish the private tour after 2 hours of sightseeing.
