Hike Details
Want to get to know one of the treasures of Neuquén? To do so, after picking you up from your hotel, we'll head to the southwest of the Caviahue Caldera. Here, in the so-called Cajón de Hualcupén, we'll find the impressive Riscos Bayos. They'll astound you!
After a pleasant 30-minute journey, we'll reach the entrance to the Riscos Bayos private site. Here, we'll grab some hiking poles and begin our trek through rock formations shaped by nature itself. These so-called ignimbrites have been forged across millions of years by volcanic eruptions. We'll pass by various columns, curious pillars, and spires.
Over various kilometres, we'll admire the plain that surrounds the Riscos Bayos formations, making stops at strategic points to take photos and rest. Did you know that this site is a sought-after place for meditation? Riscos Bayos is known in the area as the ideal space for contemplation and self-reflection.
Our last stop will be at one of the park's most enigmatic spots. While we discuss the unique characteristics of the terrain and history, we'll enjoy a well-deserved hot drink. The best bit? We'll admire a magical sunset over Riscos Bayos.
Lastly, we'll say our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 4 hours.
