Antônio Prado Excursion
At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and make our way to Antônio Prado, one of Brazil's oldest Italian colonies.
Upon arrival, we'll tour the city and admire its typical wooden houses, which have been declared National Heritage. You'll fall in love with their bright colors and lambrequins, a style of traditional decor.
During the visit, we'll also learn about the trades carried out by Italian immigrants when they arrived at the colony, which are still maintained today. We'll also discuss the religious festivities that were celebrated at that time. It'll be like journeying into the past!
Next, we'll visit the Gruta Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, a natural cave that bears the image of the city's patron saint. It won't be difficult to notice the air of peace and tranquility in this place. Did you know that the Feast of the Grotto is one of the many traditions of this region?
Afterward, we'll leave you some free time to have lunch and taste the local gastronomy, and if you have time, do some shopping. Then, we'll meet back up and approach the Canto do Encantador, a magical natural area and home to numerous bird species.
Finally, we'll return to Caxias do Sul and drop you off at your hotel seven and a half hours after pickup.
