Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Charleston Visitor Center and begin a panoramic tour in which we'll discover its most charming history, streets and buildings. Ready to visit one of the most important cities in South Carolina? Let's go!
Once we're all together, we'll board a minibus and drive through the main streets of Charleston. Along the way, we'll make 4 stops to see the main attractions of this port city up close.
First, we'll travel along King Street until we reach Hampton Park, the largest park in Charleston. You can get out of the vehicle to see its enormous flower gardens, as well as the Rose Pavilion and the lagoon, home to numerous species of birds such as ducks and herons.
We'll continue along the scenic route through Charleston, approaching The Battery in the south of the city. Along the way, you can admire the enormous mansions that are so characteristic of South Carolina from the vehicle. We'll tell you the stories behind these luxurious houses, which were formerly owned by plantation owners and merchants who operated in the area.
After giving you some free time to explore this part of the city, we'll continue the tour passing by other highlights, such as Rainbow Row, the French Quarter, St. Michael's Church and, of course, Waterfront Park, home to the famous Pineapple Fountain. We'll also tell you about the role Charleston played during the American Revolution.
To round off the visit, we'll make a final stop at the City Market, the oldest public market in the United States. It was founded in the 18th century!
Finally, after an hour and 40 minutes, we'll return to the starting point.
