Activity Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the door of the Chefchaouen Post Office, Poste Maroc. Are you ready to learn in this fun cooking class?
The experience begins with a warm welcome from a professional local chef, who’ll introduce you to Morocco’s culinary traditions and, in particular, those of Chefchaouen. Then, the chef will present the dishes that’ll be prepared during the workshop: tagine, couscous, and Moroccan salads.
Next, we’ll take a short walk through the Medina market. This visit is key to selecting fresh ingredients. Accompanied by the chef, we’ll learn about spices, herbs, and typical products. The chef will also give us tips on how to choose ingredients properly and introduce us to local vendors.
With the shopping done, we’ll return to the workshop to start the hands-on cooking session. Under the chef’s guidance and with step-by-step instructions, we’ll prepare Moroccan dishes such as a traditional tagine, with meat or vegetables, or couscous with seasonal ingredients, as well as salads and appetizers. We’ll learn how to mix spices, cook using traditional methods, and pair flavors. You’ll love it!
The activity ends with a tasting of the dishes. You’ll sit down to enjoy the delicious homemade food you’ve prepared, accompanied by Moroccan bread and mint tea. What a treat!
We’ll finish the cooking class in Chefchaouen 4 hours later at the meeting point.
