Tour Details
We'll begin this tour by picking you up from your hotel in Esquel at the scheduled time. Once everyone is ready, we'll head to the heart of the city, where Esquel's unique charm comes to life through its architecture and the steady pace of local life, a window into its past and present.
The first stop will be San Martín Square, where we'll be welcomed by the Sundial. Here, there are no running hands, only the sunlight marking the quiet pace of life in Esquel.
A short distance away, we'll find School No. 76, the oldest in the city. We'll then continue to the site of the Casa Los Vascos, the first local store where we'll imagine the pioneers entering through its wooden doors in search of supplies and tools for their homes.
Then, we'll move away from the center to embrace the Andean landscape towards the Mountain Activity Center of La Hoya Hill, only 13 km (8 mi) away. The winding road will give us views of the glacial valleys, a postcard-worthy scenery.
We'll reach the viewpoint of the Esquel sign, where we'll take a classic picture with the name of the city as a backdrop and the mountain range reminding us how lucky we are.
Next up? The Laguna La Zeta Urban Nature Reserve. We'll enter this sanctuary just a few minutes away from the city center and walk towards the lake surrounded by privileged views of the city among forests of lengas, cypresses, and ñires. With a little luck and patience, we'll be able to see coscorobas, cauquenes, and even bandurrias walking at ease, the perfect moment to let yourself be amazed by the Patagonian biodiversity!
After 3.5 hours of history and beautiful landscapes, we'll say goodbye and leave you at your hotel in Esquel.
