We'll meet at the meeting point in Canela or Gramado, whichever you choose upon booking, and set off on this excursion to Nova Petrópolis.
Did you know that the first immigrants arrived in Nova Petrópolis in 1858 and came from Pomerania, Bohemia, and Saxony? When we arrive in Nova Petrópolis, we'll review this history and the German immigration process by visiting Pedras do Silêncio (Sculpture Park Silent Stones). In addition, we'll go to Aldeia do Imigrante to learn how the Germans arrived in the city.
Afterwards, we'll visit Praça das Flores, also called Praça da República, where you'll fall in love with the lush vegetation! To continue exploring Nova Petrópolis's natural beauty, we'll go to the Green Maze and try to find our way through the cypress trees.
The tour continues at Casa Sander, located in a region that was settled by immigrants from Bohemia. There we'll have the opportunity to taste the delicacies made in this family-run agribusiness. We'll have three jellies with crackers, toast, juice, and tea.
From here, we'll head over to the Jardim do Moinho, a natural space where history and gastronomy come together in perfect harmony. We'll also visit a cosmetics store that offers products made with rosehip oil.
We'll finish the day trip to Nova Petrópolis 9 hours later, back at the starting point.
