We'll meet at La Aurora International Airport, where, after a brief introduction, we'll head to the hangar to find our plane ready for the flight. Get ready to conquer the Guatemalan skies!
After takeoff, we'll leave the runway behind and be greeted by the sprawling urban landscape of Guatemala City. The scenery is full of contrasts, so be sure to have your camera ready!
During this 30-minute flight, we'll ascend to 3,000 meters(9,843 feet), with the horizon dominated by the silhouettes of the Fuego, Agua, Pacaya, and Acatenango volcanoes. Did you know that Fuego is one of the most active volcanoes in Central America? If we are lucky, we may even see smoke rising from its crater.
We’ll then gently turn to fly over Reforma Avenue, an elegant avenue lined with neoclassical monuments. In the distance, you'll spot the modern Tikal Futura complex, its metallic structure shining like a beacon among the western neighborhoods.
Next, we’ll head toward Ciudad Cayalá, a district blending neocolonial architecture with luxury boutiques. Further on, we'll see the IRTRA Petapa amusement park and the Plaza de la Constitución, where the Palace of Culture and the Metropolitan Cathedral stand proudly.
Finally, we’ll return to La Aurora International Airport, completing the tour.
