The tiger and dragon pagodas, Confucius's Temple and Lotus Lake are just some of the spots we'll see on this guided tour of Kaohsiung.
Description
We'll meet at the New Zuoying MRT Station at the scheduled time and begin making our way to Lotus Lake. This gigantic body of water is one of the Kaohsiung's central nerves, with it being surrounded by various pagodas, markets and important historical buildings. In addition, during the summer, the Lotus Flowers cover the lake's surface in a beautiful floral canopy, a true sight to be seen!
Then, the most important parts of the tour will finally arrive. We'll visit Confucius's Temple, the most famous philosopher in China. You'll be able to wander around the building and discover its rather imposing appearance. You'll also have the chance to write a prayer on the inside of the temple.
We'll continue walking around the banks of the lake until we reach the dragon and tiger pagodas. The two enormous structures in front of the pagodas will leave you wondering what significance they hold. We'll discover all the secrets of these pagodas as well as the legends that surround them. In addition, we'll climb to the highest part of one of them to get some stunning views of the city.
Finally, we'll visit the oldest part of Kaohsiung, where we'll check out the ruins of the old walls. At this final stop, we'll bring the tour to an end, 2 hours later.
