Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in the center of Kraków to kick off our day trip to Zakopane, located in the heart of the Tatra Mountains. Are you ready to discover the charm of southern Poland?
We'll set off on our journey to the town of Zakopane, where we'll arrive after approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. First, we'll take a 10-minute funicular ride on the Gubałówka Hill Funicular. From the top, we'll enjoy the spectacular scenic views of the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane below. Here, you'll have approximately 1.5-2 hours of free time to take photos, walk along the viewpoint promenade, and immerse yourself in the unique mountain atmosphere. Here, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants to try Polish cuisine or, if you have brought your own food, stop for lunch.
Then, we'll experience the region's flavors with a traditional tasting of oscypek cheese, smoked sheep's cheese made by local highlanders, paired with regional vodka. Cheers! For half an hour, we'll learn about local traditions and flavors that have been part of Podhale culture for generations.
After exploring Zakopane and its surroundings, we'll head to the thermal springs. These naturally warm, mineral-rich waters surrounded by mountain landscapes are the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Get ready to relax your body and mind! Here, you'll have access to both outdoor and indoor thermal pools for 2.5 to 3 hours.
Finally, we'll start our journey back to Kraków, where we'll conclude our day trip 10 to 11 hours later.
