Fancy a glass of intense Chilean Pisco? After picking you up at your hotel in La Serena, we'll leave the city behind and head west to reach the Elqui Valley.
Once we arrive, we'll head to the Pisquera Aba, one of the most renowned in the country thanks to its artisanal production. While touring the fields, the distillery and the warehouse, we'll learn how pisco falls into the category of spirits. Do you know where it gets its name from? We'll find out!
After touring Aba, we'll go to the Pisco Capel Cooperative. We'll go on a guided tour of the facilities to learn about the laborious process of making this spirit and the passion with which they work.
Then, we'll get to the cooperative's Pisco Museum, passing through the Auditorio de la Asamblea (Assembly Auditorium) and the Salón de las Medallas (Hall of Medals). We'll conclude the tour of Capel enjoying a tasting of 6 piscos that will be paired with a board of regional products from the Elqui Valley and the special ritual of Chilean Pisco from Casa Capel. What an experience!
To put the perfect finishing touch to the day, we'll head to a typical restaurant to delight ourselves with an exquisite 3-course lunch consisting of a starter, main course and dessert with seasonal products from Elqui. After lunch, we'll be ready to head back to La Serena.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at your hotel, 8 hours after pickup.
