At the designated time, we'll pick you up from the meeting point before leaving Lima behind and making our way to the Huancaya on a comfortable night bus. Ready to be blown away by this charming mountain range? Let's go!
After a 10-hour journey, we'll arrive at our destination. Here, we'll take the opportunity to freshen up before the day begins, There will be some time for you to grab some breakfast, the perfect way to re-energise and enjoy local flavours.
We'll begin exploring the town of Huancaya by going on a walk around its outskirts. We'll walk up to the colonial bridge Calincanto and admire the Cabracancha waterfall over the course of a pleasant 15-minute stroll. Afterwards, we'll make our way to the Carhuayno viewpoint, from where you'll have stunning views of the reflective lakes that decorate the scenery. These views will leave you breathless!
We'll continue our adventure by heading to the Huallhua Lagoon. After a 25-minute descent, we'll reach this magical spot, where we'll enjoy a 40-minute boat ride. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, mountains, and waterfalls, you'll feel like you're in an authentic paradise.
Next, we'll walk uphill for 40 minutes to return to the transport. Once we've reached the village, we'll make our way to Plaza de Armas and you'll have some free time to taste the local cuisine by grabbing a traditional lunch.
Having re-energised, we'll begin our journey back to Lima. Along the way, we'll stop at Piquecocha Lagoon, an ideal spot to take some great photos. We'll also make an additional stop for you to buy some snacks for the return trip.
Lastly, we'll reach Lima and say our goodbyes at the meeting point around 11:30 pm.
