At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to head to the suburbs of Lima, where we'll begin our tour of Villa El Salvador. After a drive of about 40 minutes, we'll arrive at this district that has become a symbol of determination, community organization, and hope in the Peruvian capital.
Our first stop will be the Mercado 12 de Mayo, a place where we'll feel the real soul of the city. We'll walk through its stalls and meet the local merchants, who will tell you about their daily life as we soak up the aromas, colors and typical flavors.

During the tour, we'll visit a community center and a local soup kitchen, both community spaces that reflect the spirit of solidarity and community. The local folks will receive us with a warm welcome, many smiles, and a hospitality that will make us feel at home. We'll share in their culture, customs, and their way of understanding community life.
