Want to spend an unforgettable day at the beach? On this day trip to Sesimbra from Lisbon, we'll visit a beautiful pristine cove, where you can snorkel in its crystalline waters.
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Sunset Destination Hostel. From this accommodation located inside the complex of the Cais do Sodre Railway Station in Lisbon, we'll set off south in a comfortable minibus.
We'll cross the Tagus River along the emblematic 25 de Abril Bridge. After crossing this famous bridge, we'll continue our route toward the Arrábida Natural Park. In this beautiful site, we'll find Sesimbra, a renowned coastal town in the Península de Setúbal.
Once we reach Sesimbra, we'll head to the Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo. In this lovely pristine beach, declared a World Heritage Site, you'll have the chance to take a refreshing dip in the Atlantic Ocean to practice snorkeling with the equipment we provide. You'll also be able to sunbathe on this paradisiacal site.
After approximately 2 hours of free time at this stunning beach, we'll start our journey back to Lisbon. Before reaching the Portuguese capital, we'll make a brief stop to take pictures in the Sanctuary of Christ the King, where you'll see the Christ the Redeemer statue inspired by the statue of Rio de Janeiro.
From this iconic sculpture, we'll once again cross the Tagus River along the 25 de Abril Bridge to return to our meeting point in Lisbon, where we'll conclude this 5-hour day trip.
At times, we may not be able to access the Sanctuary of Christ the King due to capacity limitations. In this case, we'll visit the Boca do Vento instead, a popular viewpoint located on the shores of the Tagus River, near the Christ de Redeemer.
