The Lisbon Layover Tour is private, includes a vehicle, an English-speaking driver, airport pick up, and transfer back to the airport. We'll be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it next to the Starbucks in the airport.
First, we'll tour the amazing neighborhood of Belém, where many of the must-see sights of Lisbon are located, such as the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower, or the Monument to the Discoveries.
After making a stop to more closely admire these famous spots, you'll be given some free time to taste one of the most popular sweets in the city: the Belém pastries. You'll love them, guaranteed!
Next destination: the center of Lisbon. There we'll traverse the Avenida da Liberdade, a beautiful boulevard that is considered without a doubt to be the most majestic street in all Lisbon. Also, we explore the Praça dos Restauradores and the Plaça do Rossio, the most lively spot in the city.
Last but not least, we'll head off to the Alfama, which is where the fishermen from Lisbon used to live for many decades. You will learn about the history of this old neighborhood while admiring its peculiar buildings. This spot is also where the fado, a melancholic music genre, was born.
After this four-hour adventure, we will drop you off back at the airport.
The round trip time between the airport and the city center is 60 minutes. You must remember to be at the airport two hours before the flight departure, so it is recommended that you have at least 6 hours of layover time for this tour.
