At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Lisbon and begin a private day trip where we’ll visit four of the most special and spiritual places in Portugal.
From the Portuguese capital, we’ll head directly to the Sanctuary of Fátima, one of the most important pilgrimage centers in Europe. We’ll be able to see the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, a Baroque-style temple where the tombs of the three shepherd children of Fátima are located: Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta.
Other must-see sites in Fátima include the Chapel of the Apparitions and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Before leaving the religious complex, you'll have 1 hour of free time to walk around the area and attend one of the masses regularly held there.
Afterward, we’ll travel to Batalha, declared a World Heritage Site. Here, we’ll visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, a key landmark for learning about the country’s history and architecture. It was chosen as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal! You’ll also have 1.5 hours of free time to eat at one of the restaurants in Batalha.
With your appetite satisfied, we’ll continue the day trip along the cliffs near the coast of Nazaré. Our final stop will be in the picturesque town of Óbidos, where you can try its typical liqueur: ginjinha. You’ll enjoy 1 hour of free time to explore this town at your own pace.
We’ll finish the day trip by returning to the Portuguese capital after between 8 and 9 hours.
