Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the San Martín General Library and begin a guided walking tour of Mendoza. Are you ready to discover the main tourist attractions of this destination, famous for its wines and mountain landscapes? Let's go!
Once everyone has arrived, we'll delve into the city's history to learn about the key figures who marked a turning point in its development, such as General San Martín. After admiring the impressive library that bears his name, we'll walk along the Paseo de las Flores, also known as La Alameda, lined with numerous stalls where, of course, flowers are the main attraction.
One of the most interesting spots in Mendoza is the Parque General San Martín, a large tree-filled area dominated by the Monument to General San Martín. Here, we'll admire the modern architecture of the square and its fountain. Photo opportunity! Our next stop will be at the Central Market, where you'll have 20 minutes of free time to explore the stalls and grab a drink.
We'll continue walking and reach the Tajamar Canal, a perfect spot to appreciate the natural beauty of the city. Here, we'll explain the importance of water for Mendoza, and then we'll visit the Monument to Fray Luis Beltrán, one of the heroes of Independence.
We'll continue the tour along San Martín Avenue, stopping at various textile shops, a product of great importance to the local economy. Do you know why? We'll tell you all about it! In addition, we'll take a look at the architecture of Mendoza, where the name of architect Daniel Ramos Correas will appear.
Finally, we'll arrive at Plaza de la Independencia, where we'll say goodbye 3 hours later and conclude this guided tour of Mendoza.
