Explore the colorful mountains of Gran Canaria with this hiking route to the Azulejos de Veneguera. See the native vegetation of the Canary Islands and enjoy the incredible views of the island's ravines.
We'll meet at 10 am in the parking lot of the Azulejos de Veneguera, just a 15-minute drive from the center of Mogán. From here, we'll set off on an 8.5-kilometer hiking route that will take us on an adventure through the incredible mountains of western Gran Canaria.
As we walk through this semi-desert landscape, we'll admire the vivid greens and reds of the Azulejos de Veneguera. As we marvel at these characteristic splashes of color, our guide will tell us all about how this natural monument was formed after the eruptions of the Tejeda volcano.
During the route, we'll also check out the different ravines and streams that flow through this area of Gran Canaria. You won't be able to stop taking pictures of the beautiful landscape and the local flora and fauna. Throughout the tour, you'll be able to spot native species like Canary Island pines and a type of succulent plant known in Spanish as verodes.
At 3 pm, we'll return to the starting point and the tour will come to an end.
