Learn how to master the waves of southern Fuerteventura! With this surf lesson in Jandía, you'll learn the techniques and basics of one of the most fun and exciting water sports.
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the meeting point or your hotel in southern Fuerteventura to head to a beach in Jandía, where our surf lesson will take place. Let's go!
Once there, we'll enjoy a surf lesson in a small group, with 6 to 8 people max. Depending on the group's level, the explanations will be adapted, as this activity is suitable for beginners who want to learn how to surf and for those who have surfed before.
After a short warm-up and stretches, we'll practice the basic surf movements on the sand: your position on the surfboard and the famous take-off—that moment when you stand up. Then, it'll be time to get in the water! The monitor will help you choose the best waves and offer various tips to improve your technique.
During the lesson, which will last 3.5 hours, you'll learn the different positions to surf with ease the waves of Jandía. You'll see quickly why this area in southern Fuerteventura is one of the best surf paradises on the Canary Islands.
After the lesson is finished, we'll start our journey back to the meeting point or your hotel, where arrival is expected 4.5 hours after pickup.
If you choose the lesson with pickup, we'll pick you up at your hotel in the following areas in southern Fuerteventura: Costa Calma, La Pared, Jandía, Butihondo, Esquinzo, and Morro Jable.
If you prefer the lesson without pickup, we'll meet directly at the parking lot of the Playa del Viejo Rey in Jandía. From there, you'll have to go to the sand where the activity will take place in your own car, following the guide's vehicle.
Depending on the weather and the tides, the surf lesson can begin between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm. The day before the activity, the local provider will tell you the exact starting time.
