How to Get to Osaka City Center from the Airport
If you’re traveling to Osaka and wondering how to get from the airport to the city center, we’ve got the answer! The Nankai Rapit Airport Express is a fast train service that takes you directly from Kansai International Airport Station to Namba Station.
You’ll ride in a retro-futuristic train car with airplane-style windows and enjoy a comfortable 38-minute journey with free Wi-Fi on board.
How Does it Work?
When booking, you can choose either a one-way ticket from the airport to Osaka or vice versa. If you select the trip from Osaka to the airport, you can board the Nankai Rapit Airport Express at Namba, Shin-Imamiya, Tengachaya, or Sakai stations.
The ticket is valid only for non-Japanese citizens and cannot be used on the same day of purchase.
To reserve a seat, you must do so after purchasing your ticket and at least five minutes before the train’s departure. Note: seat reservations are not available on Tuesdays from 3 to 4:30 am (Japan time) due to maintenance work.
Please note that if you purchase more than one ticket (up to a maximum of 8), all passengers must travel on the same train, on the same day, and at the same time. If passengers wish to travel separately, they’ll need to make separate bookings.
The QR code corresponding to each ticket must be shown on a separate phone. Two tickets cannot be presented on the same device. For example, if one booking includes two adult tickets and one child ticket, the QR codes must be displayed on three different phones.
