On this guided tour of the Rombeau winery, we'll tour the vineyards of this family-run winery 15 minutes from Perpignan, including a tasting of Roussillon wines!
Le Domaine de Rombeau is an outstanding family-run winery located at 2, Avenue de la Salanque in Rivesaltes. This picturesque Roussillon wine village is located just a 15-minute drive from Perpignan.
At the indicated time, we'll start our guided tour of the Rombeau winery by learning about the history of this 1852 farm, which has been in the same family of winemakers for six generations.
After a brief introduction to the family history of the winery, we'll visit the vineyards overlooking the Canigó massif. The estate has 87 hectares, 28 of which are dedicated to organic cultivation. During the visit, we'll also learn how the more than 20 varieties of grapes are cultivated.
The tour continues with a visit to the cellar's barrel room, which houses nearly 600 barrels, one of the most outstanding collections in the South of France! In this room, we'll discover how the wines are aged and what type of wood is used to age them.
We'll end this 1.5 to 2-hour tour with a wine tasting, the perfect ending!
