We'll pick you up at the scheduled time at your hotel in Porto Seguro, and from there, we'll begin this tour of Arraial d'Ajuda. Are you ready to discover one of the jewels of the state of Bahia? Let's go!
Our first stop will be Praia do Mucugê, known for being surrounded by vegetation, fine sand, and crystal clear waters. Here, you'll have 4 hours of free time to enjoy this idyllic enclave, listening to music, sunbathing on the beach, or snorkelling in its waters.
Next, we'll continue the tour in the town of Arraial d'Ajuda, where we'll visit its historic buildings and Bróduei St, named after New York's Broadway. We'll also pass by the São Brás Square with the Church of Nossa Senhora d'Ajuda. This temple, which was built in 1550 by the Jesuits, was renovated in 1772 and gathered hundreds of believers every year for the celebration of the pilgrimage.
At the back of the church, there's a viewpoint with amazing panoramic views of the region! This place is also known for its hundreds of colourful ribbons that visitors tie while making a wish to the Virgin. What wish will you make?
During our tour of Arraial d'Ajuda, we'll take a break so you can have lunch on your own and taste the delights of the local gastronomy.
Finally, we'll take you back to the starting point, where we'll arrive 9 to 9.5 hours later.
