At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Natales and head north. After about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles), we’ll reach the Cerro Benítez archaeological park.
During the first part of the route, we’ll hike among mountains and crevices that provide habitat for various bird species, including the impressive Andean condor. As we follow the trail, we’ll talk about the cultural and natural importance of this unique environment.
As we climb Cerro Benítez, we’ll enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of Eberhard Fjord, Señoret Channel, and the iconic Sofía Lagoon. A landscape that’ll take your breath away. Don’t forget your camera!
The trail will take us to Window Cave and, later on, to the entrance of Hidden Cave, which we’ll enter using headlamps. Inside, we’ll discover ancient stalactites formed over time by mineral-rich water filtration.
The route then continues toward the Dos Herraduras sector, a group of rock formations surrounded by dense forests. There, we’ll observe rock paintings more than 3,500 years old, an ancestral testament to the area’s earliest inhabitants. You’ll be amazed!
Finally, we’ll return to the starting point after completing a total hike of 10 km (6.2 mi) and say goodbye after between 5 and 5.5 hours of activity.
