Northern Lights Cruise in Reykjavík
Northern Lights Cruise in Faxaflói Bay
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the Old Harbor of Reykjavík and board a boat that will take us to discover one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world: the northern lights.
We'll set sail west of the city, specifically to Faxaflói Bay. During the cruise, you'll enjoy exceptional scenic views of the Reykjavík coastline, admiring landmarks such as the Harpa concert hall and Hallgrímskirkja church illuminated by the lights.
As we venture deeper into darkness, the northern lights will unfold before us. The different colors that paint the sky will leave you speechless! Plus, the guide will tell us the legends surrounding the Northern Lights and teach us to distinguish the different types of auroras that typically appear.
On board, you can relax on an outdoor deck, ideal for photos, offering uninterrupted panoramic views of the sky and horizon. If you prefer the interior of the boat, there's also a heated indoor space where you can unwind and warm up through its large windows.
Finally, after a 2-hour boat trip, we'll return to the port of departure.
