If you're in Rio de Janeiro, don't miss this tour of the Babilônia favela. Discover the art, food and history of one of the main Carioca communities.
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Hotel Novotel Rio de Janeiro Leme, and from there we'll make our way on foot to the Babilônia favela, one of the most favelas in the Carioca city.
We'll begin this walking tour of the Babilônia favela by taking in the street art murals, that are famous for their lively colours. During the tour, we'll also discover the origins of this Carioca community, located on the Meridian coast of the city.
We'll continue the tour of the favela at the Babilônia Neighbours Association and the Bar das Estrelas viewpoints. From both points, we'll enjoy some beautiful views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Leme and Copacabana Beaches.
After taking in the panoramic views, we'll continue our tour of the favela by visiting some of Babilônia most popular bars. It's at these local spots, where you can discover the customs and traditions of the community first-hand. Some things will surprise you for sure!
Finally, after 2 hours, the tour will come to an end at Bar do David, where we'll try some Brazilian beer.
