Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to Madureira Park, one of the biggest parks in Rio de Janeiro. Did you know it covers an area equivalent to 14 Maracanã football fields?
As soon as we arrive, you’ll notice its modern and welcoming atmosphere, with volleyball and basketball courts, a synthetic grass football field, and a large skate park. As we stroll along its walkways, we’ll explain how the park has become a key hub for leisure, culture, and sports for the surrounding neighborhoods of Rio’s outskirts.
During the walk, we’ll admire its impressive vegetation, made up of more than 800 trees, 50 palm trees, and a wide variety of native flowers. The route will also take us past its two main cultural spaces, the Arena Carioca and the Samba Square.
We’ll also talk about the 2015 renovation that turned the park into an admirable example of sustainability. You’ll see its smart infrastructure, including rainwater reuse systems, solar energy, and low-consumption lighting.
At the end of the tour, we’ll take you back to your hotel, where the experience will conclude after a total of 5 hours.
