Discover the legacy of the Olympic Games and enjoy one of the most modern and animated areas of Rio de Janeiro with this tour of Olympic Boulevard and AquaRio.
Olympic Boulevard Tour and AquaRio
You'll be picked up from your hotel or meeting point at the chosen time before walking to the port area of Rio, which was completely restored for the Olympic Games which was celebrated in the city in 2016. Totally revitalized, it has transformed into one of the most modern and lively districts of what is known as the ‘carioca’ city.
First it's on to the largest aquarium in South America: AquaRio. Here you can visit the local fish life, and over 8,000 marine animals of more than 350 different species, from all around the world! The largest tank is over seven metres deep!
After the visit to AquaRio, we will explore the wide Olympic Boulevard, enjoying the spectacular views of the Guanabara Bay, while our local guide explains everything about the history of this beautiful avenue.
Then we catch the tram which will take us into the port and to the Kobra Mural, a giant graffiti artwork designed by the Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra. With more than 30000 square feet of colour, it has become one of the main attractions of the city.
At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your original pick up point in Rio.
Hotel pickup
The tour includes pickup from hotels in the south zone (Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, Leme, Botafogo, Flamengo) and the downtown area of Rio de Janeiro. If you're staying in other areas, please let us know in order to determine a new meeting point.
You can also enjoy this service from the cruise port.
Please note
The itinerary could be affected during Carnival celebrations, in which case we'll contact you to inform you of possible changes.
