Make the most of your trip to Santiago de Chile: delve into the wine-making traditions of the Colchagua Valley, exploring beautiful vineyards and tasting some emblematic Chilean wine. What are you waiting for?
Wine Tour Details
We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Santiago on the day of your tour, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind to head deep into the Colchagua Valley. During the 2-hour drive through vineyard-covered rolling hills, your expert guide will tell you all about the different types of soil here... Did you know that the earth in this region is ideal for producing Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot?
Our first stop will be the Viña Neyen vineyard. We'll tour its beautiful vineyards with vines over 130 years old and learn about the history of its organic and biodynamic practices. In addition to admiring the beauty of the place, we'll visit its old winery and, of course, enjoy a wine tasting of two of its wines.
Next, we'll head to the Viña Viu Manent vineyard. There, we'll go directly to its La Rayuela restaurant, where you can enjoy an exquisite lunch at your own expense with a panoramic view of the fields as a backdrop. With a seasonal menu based on meat and fish, you can pair your dishes with wines suggested by the sommelier.
After indulging our taste buds, we'll head to the historic La Llavería Visitor Center, where the tour of the Viu Manent vineyard will begin. After a brief visit to the Malbec Room and the Variety Garden, we'll board an old horse-drawn carriage to tour the vineyards. Without a doubt, the visit will be a true lesson in viticulture, where we'll discover the most traditional winemaking practices.
To put the finishing touch on the experience, you can enjoy a guided tasting of five wines from the Gran Reserva, Secreto, and Super Premium lines. Cheers!
Lastly, we'll return to our hotel in Santiago de Chile after a total of 11.5 hours.
