Where to Watch The Solar Eclipse in Spain?

Spain will be one of the best places in the world to witness the total solar eclipse of 2026. The path of totality will cross the northern part of the Iberian Peninsula, making Galicia one of the best places to enjoy this spectacle. As it coincides with sunset, the Atlantic horizon will offer a magical scene that’s hard to beat.

Day Trip to A Coruña (11 hours)

After meeting at the Alameda de Santiago Park, we’ll head to the city of La Coruña. Within Galicia, the city of La Coruña stands out for its orientation toward the Atlantic Ocean. Monte de San Pedro, our final destination, offers an unobstructed, elevated panoramic view, ideal for watching the Moon completely eclipse the Sun just before sunset. It will be an unparalleled vantage point to experience this historic event!

Once we arrive, you’ll have some free time in María Pita Square before enjoying a guided tour of the historic district. The highlight will be at Monte de San Pedro, an exceptional natural viewpoint. There, as the guide explains the phases of the phenomenon, we’ll watch the solar corona shine over the ocean at the moment of totality. A sight to remember!
