At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in São Luís and from there, we'll leave the city behind and start our day trip to São José de Ribamar and Raposa. Let's explore the coast of Maranhão!
Once at our first destination, São José de Ribamar, we'll explore the city by foot. During the tour, we'll visit a sanctuary dedicated to the patron Saint of Maranhão and we'll tell you interesting facts about his origin and miracles.
In the same square as the temple, we'll also visit Our Lady of Lourdes Cave and Concha Acústica, a venue where open-air religious shows take place. Furthermore, we'll admire sculptures that border the square and the statue of São José de Ribamar.
Then, we'll return to our vehicle and take a panoramic tour of the city's coast to get to our next stop, Raposa, an old fishing town, famous for bobbing lace. Here, we'll give you free time to have lunch and try local Maranhão gastronomy.
Afterwards, we'll take a 2-hour boat trip to explore mangroves and vegetation in Raposa. We'll also make a stop in a calm area where you can swim. Finally, we'll stop at the dunes on Curupu Island and walk about 10-15 minutes to Carimã Beach.
Finally, we'll return to the vehicle to drop you back off at your hotel in São Luís after a 6-hour long day trip.
This tour includes pickup from accommodation located within the urban perimeter of São Luís. We'll pick you up from your hotel between 7 am and 9:30 am. However, we'll contact you in advance to confirm the departure time.
