We'll pick you up at your hotel in Sao Paulo at your chosen time to discover the most representative buildings of this Brazilian city. On our trip, we'll have time to admire a vast variety of architectural styles, from colonial to contemporary, with some art deco in between!
We'll start our tour at the Higienopolis neighborhood, one of the best places to observe this contrast between old and new. In this area, we will admire old colonial houses and modern architecture buildings that coexist in the same area without altering the harmony of the urban landscape.
As we walk through the centre of Sao Paulo, you'll see how the 19th-century European styles combine with more recent Brazilian architecture. Did you know that this contrast has made Brazilian architecture famous the world-over?
We couldn't finish our tour without mentioning Paulo Mendes de Rocha, one of the masters of Brazilian architecture, who even won the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2006 for his contribution. Or Oscar Niemeyer, whose modern designs can be found all over the main cities in Brazil.
We will continue along the Paulista and Faria Lima avenues to admire their modern and iconic skyscrapers and we will pass by Jardin America, the first residential area or 'garden city' planned in Sao Paulo.
