If you are a lover of art and culture, then this day trip to Itu is the one for you. At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Metrô Sumaré in São Paulo and, once we've all arrived, we'll begin our journey to the city of Itu.
Having witnessed important historical events in the state of São Paulo, Itu is full of cultural landmarks that will captivate you. Once we arrive, we'll make our way to the Republican Museum, where the Convention of Itu took place, which culminated in the proclamation of the Republic.
We'll continue down the streets of Itu to admire the Parish of Nossa Senhora da Candelária, admiring paintings by renowned Brazilian artists like José Patrício, Fray Jesuino do Monte Carmelo, and Almeida Junior inside. Additionally, in the Praça da Matriz, we'll get to see the giant public telephone and other big objects that made this city famous for its urban art.
This tour of Itu will then continue in front of the Museum of Energy, the Church and Sanctuary of Bom Jesús, the Espaço Fabrica São Luiz, the Praça Dom Pedro I, the Franciscan Cross of Itu and, of course, the Imperial Residence, where the Brazilian imperial family used to live.
