Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sapporo Station to begin this day trip to Noboribetsu, a town famous for its hot springs and volcanic landscape. Ready to discover some of the main charms of the Hokkaido region?
Once in Noboribetsu, we'll go to see the Jigokudani, a crater that was formed about 10,000 years ago, and Oyunuma Pond, a hot spring with sulphur water. There, depending on the season, you can take an open-air dip, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Afterwards, we'll take you to Lake Toya, a freshwater lagoon of almost circular shape surrounded by mountains and forests. Upon arrival, we'll admire its natural beauty and give you time to take some spectacular photos.
We'll also visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, where you can watch about 100 Hokkaido brown bears feeding. Finally, we'll go to the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory Shikotsu Toya National Park Silo Observatory, where we'll get an unparalleled panoramic view of the area.
The next stop will be in Otaru. Did you know that it was an important port town in Hokkaido? It's noted for its well-preserved old canal, full of warehouses from the end of the 19th century, and also for its fresh fish. Of course, during our lunch break, you'll have the opportunity to taste some - don't miss out on a delicious plate of sushi!
10 hours later, we'll say our goodbyes back at Sapporo Station.
