On this day trip to Mount Etna from Taormina, we'll discover the secrets of one of Europe's most famous volcanoes. We'll see two of its craters and some local fauna and flora.
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from the meeting point in Taormina and head by minibus to the heart of Etna National Park. Let's explore one of the most fascinating areas in Sicily!
During the trip, we'll provide a historical, geological, and volcanological overview of Mount Etna, as well as highlight various types of vegetation, including citrus orchards, vineyards, chestnut groves, and pine forests.
After approximately an hour and a half drive, we will reach an altitude of 1,900 m (6,233 ft). We'll then disembark and you'll have 2.5 hours to explore the surroundings at your own pace. Want to go higher? During your free time, you can book an additional tour to reach the maximum altitude, currently 2,750 m (9,022 ft).
We'll then regroup, and before returning, we'll stop at a nearby restaurant so you can have lunch on your own.
Our day trip will conclude at the meeting point after 8 hours.
