Traverse the majestic landscapes of Gran Canaria’s coastline on this full-day sightseeing tour by land and get a feel for the whole island. Truly magical!
Begin the tour by visiting the southern coast of Gran Canaria. The first stop will be at the picturesque town of Puerto de Mogán. Its charming winding canals are the reason why it is also known as “Little Venice”. Stroll through its streets flanked by beautiful whitewashed buildings with colourful shutters and trims. The sweet fragrance of the bougainvilleas that decorate the town will accompany you throughout.
We'll pass by Los Azulejos, a rock formation whose colours resemble the famous Portuguese tiles, and arrive at the village of San Nicolás, famous for its tomato its delicious tomatoes. Continue the day trip to Agaete and Puerto de las Nueves to discover the fascinating story of “Dedo de Dios” (Finger of God), a surprising rock formation in the Atlantic Ocean, which was sadly destroyed during a tropical storm in 2005.
After having lunch at your own leisure in Puerto de las Nieves, hit the road again and make a stop at a banana plantation, where we'll learn about the growing process of this fruit. Please note that the cost of this is not included in the tour. Then we'll continue on to the villages in the north of Gran Canaria. You'll pass through Gálder, Guía and Arucas - did you know that Arucas is world-renowned for its rum?
You'll then head to Las Palmas, capital of the island. Here, you will have about 15 minutes of free time to stroll along the beach of Las Canteras and take photos of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium.
Finally, we'll leave the island's capital to explore the landscapes of the east coast of Gran Canaria, arriving at the hotels in the south of the island in the late afternoon.
