Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tokyo to begin this exciting private day trip to Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji. Ready to marvel at the tallest peak in Japan?
To kick off the tour, the guide will help with all of the public transport details, and we'll hop on an express train and make our way to Kawaguchiko, where we'll arrive after a pleasant 2.5-hour journey. Upon arrival in Kawaguchiko, we'll hop onto the Lake Kawaguchi retro sightseeing bus. This bus takes an exciting route past the top landmarks around Lake Kawaguchi.
After a few minutes on the bus, we'll hop off at the Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. First opened in 1959, this cable car ascends Mount Tenjō from the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, reaching an altitude of 1,075 m (3,527 ft) above sea level. Along the cable car ride, we'll take in unbelievable views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji.
Once we get back down, we'll hop back on the retro sightseeing bus and drive around Lake Kawaguchi, the second-largest of the Fuji Five lakes. Did you know that this lake is part of UNESCO's World Heritage List? Don't forget to take some photos!
Next, we'll visit the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, a charming European-style theme park and museum on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, offering stunning views of Mount Fuji. We'll spend an hour exploring its unique collection of antique music boxes and mechanical instruments. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, including a vast rose garden, the museum combines music, art, and nature that everyone in the group will love!
Finally, after a total of 8 hours, we'll return to Tokyo.
