Stabiae Villas Excursion
After picking you up at your hotel in Pompeii at the scheduled time, we'll leave for Castellammare di Stabia, where we'll visit one of the most important archaeological sites in Italy: the Villas of Stabiae.
Upon reaching our destination, we'll prepare to visit the remains of the ancient Roman city of the same name in the company of an expert guide. More precisely, we'll explore Villa San Marco and then Villa Arianna, the oldest villa d'otium in Stabia, dating back to the 2nd century BC. Located at the western end of the Varano hill, it occupies a massive area spanning 11,000 square meters (118,403 square feet).
As we make our way through the different rooms, you'll be mesmerized by the lavish decorations in the villa, often embellished with beautiful geometric mosaics and frescoes depicting animals and mythological creatures. Truly an immersive Roman cultural experience! At the end of the tour, you'll have some free time to rest.
Finally, after a morning spent exploring ancient Stabia, we'll take you back to the hotel in Pompeii and the activity will end.
